Greases

Grease is a solid, semi-solid or semi-fluid lubricant produced by combining a liquid lubricant (base oil) with additive and a thickening agent. The use of grease has many advantages over lubricating oil including:

  • Doesn’t leak or drip out – stays where it’s put
  • Reduces need to for frequent re-lubrication
  • Increases persistence of lubrication in intermittent applications – start/stop
  • Used in areas difficult to seal
  • Used where lube oils aren’t effective
